Abstract :
When do you feel your Christian faith alive and flourishing? Where does this happen? In situations of liturgical worship? In informal prayer groups? In situations of action on behalf of justice and peace?
This article is an expression of connections: of faith in Jesus the Christ, its expression in the liturgical worship of the Christian community, most especially the Eucharist, and the problems and challenges this presents to women both in the West and in Africa. Women are creating new forms of prayer and ritual, sometimes in parallel with the larger Christian community, sometimes not, in order to find their own space for their faith to flourish.
