Abstract :
In the present article Zusana Skálová gives an account of her research in the archives of the Seminarium Kondakovianum in Prague. On the basis of her research, she describes the history and vicissitudes of this Russian Institute in the West and its members. The Seminarium was one of the first institutes of Byzantine studies and of Orthodoxy in the world. Due to the Second World War and the political situation in former Czechoslovakia it had to put an end to its scholarly activities in 1952.
