Die late schriftelijke overlevering heeft ertoe geleid dat Drentse toponiemen weinig aan bod komen in werken die zich richten op het oudste namengoed. The Drenthe Toponymic Vries A long continuity of inhabitation in combination with a rather late written record of names are the reasons why Drenthe is a toponymically interesting, but also very difficult research area. The late introduction of writing has led to the fewer references to of the toponymics of Drenthe in books referring to the oldest names of the Netherlands. |
