This writing system is closely related to the Canaanite proto-alphabetic that was found not only in Canaan, but also in Sinai and Egypt. Please note that this article is part of a series (Abr-Nahrain 30-34). The main issue here will be a response to the decipherment of Giovanni Garbini (Rivista di studi fenici 16, 1988, 129-131). |
