Document Details : Title: Ten Years of Research on Moses Maimonides Subtitle: A Brief Survey Author(s): JANSSENS, Jules Journal: Tijdschrift voor Filosofie Volume: 79 Issue: 1 Date: 2017 Pages: 111-128 DOI: 10.2143/TVF.79.1.3217827 Abstract : This survey discusses the philosophically relevant literature on Moses Maimonides published between 2004 and 2014 in Western European languages. Besides a survey of general studies (both collective works and monographs) related to Maimonides and his thought, special attention is paid to the Guide of the Perplexed (including editions of the original Arabic text, editions of Hebrew and Latin translations, and studies dealing with the doctrinal significance of the Guide), in addition to studies that deal with the influence of Arabic sources on Maimonides’ thought and the reception of the latter in the later Jewish world and in the Latin West. |
