Document Details : Title: For a Phenomenology of the Kingdom Author(s): HART, Kevin Journal: Louvain Studies Volume: 39 Issue: 4 Date: 2015-2016 Pages: 364-376 DOI: 10.2143/LS.39.4.3191739 Abstract : In what way, if any, can one propose a phenomenology of the Kingdom of God? Various approaches are considered and rejected, and a new way is elaborated. In his parables and actions Jesus of Nazareth develops a particular mode of reduction, 'basilaic reduction', in which the one who hears it or witnesses it is led back to consider a claim made on him or her since before the Creation of the world. Reduction, here, is a leading to an anterior situation, nor inner consciousness. A close analysis of Luke 15:11-32 forms the center of the discussion. |
