To do so, it begins by exploring the dimensions of the relationship between theology and culture, and relates them to the meaning of theology and the conditions under which it has emerged. Second, it discusses the possible impact of the European cultural milieu on Islamic theology today. Third, taking the multicultural social structure of Europe into account, it evaluates what can be the best approach of Islam to the issue of religious diversity. Within this framework, it attempts to illustrate that the Quran allows us to adopt a totally new approach that is beyond exclusivism, inclusivism and pluralism. |
